At Hope Church, we believe that we’ve identified a proven strategy to make disciples and multiply the church because we understand that one church cannot reach a city by itself. We are excited to come alongside you in your church planting journey.
We believe that long-term success for a church plant and its ability to reproduce and multiply rises and falls based on the strength of the training and equipping the planter receives. To develop healthy church planters who lead healthy church plants, we have established a multi-step process. Below is our church planting process.
M3 Planting Process
Church Planting Intensive
Attend a three-day Church Planting Intensive at Hope Church. The Intensive is a valuable resource for you to be exposed to Kingdom-focused training and receive practical tools to assist you on your church planting journey with M3.
Due to COVID-19 limitations on travel and in-person gathering sizes, we have temporarily suspended remaining Intensive dates for 2020 until further notice. We look forward to resuming the event as soon as possible. To be placed on our notification list regarding new dates, please complete the info request form at the bottom of this page.
Church Planter Assessment
Attend a two-day Church Planter Assessment retreat conducted by the North American Mission Board (NAMB). During this environment, the planter and their spouse will be assessed on nine essential areas: calling, emotional and spiritual health, family dynamics, vision, leadership, communication, missional engagement, disciple-making, and social skills.
Apply for a Development Pathway
Apply for a 12-month Church Planting Residency* or 9-month Church Planting Cohort. Applications are submitted after the potential planter has attended the Church Planting Intensive and passed the Church Planter Assessment.
*The Church Planting Residency includes a monthly stipend and lodging opportunities for those planting within the Southern Baptist Convention.
Conduct an interview with a member of the Hope Church Multiplication Team to discuss your application and eligibility for a Development Pathway.
Participate in one of the following:
Church Planting Residency: A 12-month residential training program at Hope Church. This apprenticeship is designed to provide a variety of training environments and practical ministry experience for church planters. Throughout our program, ministry leaders are immersed in a culture of church multiplication rooted in disciple-making.
Church Planting Cohort: A 9-month collaborative training group that gathers twice for church planting workshops in Las Vegas, NV. Between workshops, the cohort engages remotely in monthly leadership coaching.
Be sent out by Hope Church in the West. We are passionate about sending out planters with prayer, financial partners and people.
We invest in our network through monthly conference calls, annual retreats and much more.
Make disciples and multiply the church in your city, region and the world. To better serve ministry leaders like you throughout the West, we want to help you reproduce our Church Planting Intensive where you live.
